Sachar is named in large magazines and newspapers by his books that he has written especially Small Steps which is a continuation of Sachar’s award winning book Holes. Time Magazine published an article in 2006 called “Books: 5 Great New Books” Louis Sachar was mentioned in the article for his book called Small Steps. Lev Grossman wrote about Sachar’s book, Small Steps, he said it is a continuation of the book Holes. Small Steps is about some two of the characters from Holes and how they get out of Camp Green Lake a camp designed to take place of going to jail for teenagers. New York Times published an article called “'Small Steps,' by Louis Sachar” it is over Sachar’s book Small Steps, A. O. Scott talks about the book, and says one of the characters from Holes Armpit tries to do the right thing and get his high school diploma. Armpit still gets into trouble when he sees his friend from Camp Green Lake, X-Ray. Scott says that both the kids are good, but get mistreated by people around them.
